2002 - First 'Parade of Scots'
A 1.8 mile parade with Scottish pipers, drums, and of course, Scottish Terriers, through Baileys Harbor.
2005 - Non profit status approval
2006 - BLOOD SAMPLING
In May, DCSR collects its first Scottie blood samples for bladder cancer research at National Institutes of Health.
2006 - ultrasound screenings
In May, DCSR establishes its annual ultrasound screenings for Scottish Terrier bladder health.
2014 - Annual Scottie Races
Scotties are timed in a controlled course running to their owner at the finish line.
2015 - Rainbow bridge memorial garden
In May, the official Dedication of the DCSR Rainbow Memorial Bridge Garden takes place.
2016 - The Antonella visconti di modrone award
In October, DCSR becomes a recipient of The STCA's Antonelle Visconti di Modrone Health Advocate Award.
This honor is awarded to an STCA member or non-member, single individual or a group (i.e. club, research team) who has demonstrated, by word and/or deed, outstanding dedication to and achievement in the area of Scottish Terrier Health. This award is fully funded by and voted on by the Health Trustees. Current Health Trustees are not eligible.
Since the inception of this acknowledgement in 2002, it has been awarded only 4 times.
2022 - Dogs just want to have fun
In May, DCSR establishes its annual "Barbara A Gibson 'Dogs Just Want to Have Fun'" performance events.
