Heather is a third generation Scottie Mom. The Scottie craze started in the 1950’s when Heather maternal grandparent’s babysat for a friends Scottie named Angus. Once back home, on numerous occasions, Angus escaped and ran to her grandparents’ house. Angus the stubborn Scottie had chosen his people and officially became part of the family (and was the first in a long line of Scotties). When Heather was a baby, a brindle Scottie named McDuff guarded her crib (w/ full Scottitude). Heather grew up with McDuff. Heather also remembers her grandparents visiting always with a Scottie in tow.
Now, Heather and her husband, Logan reside in a historic home in Monticello, MN with their Scottie, Augie and Westie, Lily May. Their terriers are their kids and are the center of their world—Heather says their house is ruled by constant terrier silliness and wouldn’t have it any other way. Heather and Logan love to travel and whether it be planes, trains or automobiles, the terriers are always their co-pilots up for any adventure.
Heather is devoted to the health and well-being of to the Scottish Terrier breed. She often tells her husband she wants a house full of Scotties and dreams of preservation breeding and/or showing Scotties.
Heather’s career is focused on finance and operations, and she’s honored to be the treasurer of the DCSR Board.
